2010 Girls Softball Scholarship Winner
The 1st
Annual Richard "Dick" Finnigan girls softball scholarship winner for 2010
is Brenna McCarthy from Dorchester. She is recipient of $1,000 at the
tournament which was held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at McConnell Park
during the Pacitti Cup tournament. Richard Finnigan, a former three term
Dorchester State Rep. was well known in Savin Hill for his support
of youth sports and the St. William's parish band. He passed away on March 31, 2009.
To honor the memory of Richard Pacitti by providing opportunities
to achieve personal, scholastic and athletic growth to the youth of Dorchester and participating towns.
Our goal is to mentor and teach young people to embrace the concept of community and responsibility.
